Emergency and Trauma care refer to a facility-based care centre that is equipped to provide immediate attention to a patient in a severely critical state. Where the response level to the situation is against time and needs to be coupled with accuracy.

Although there are different levels of trauma, the chances of survival of a patient will largely depend on the speed of attention. A trauma centre and emergency care centre gear up with trained personal and equipment to handle the patient. These situations can arise of a health condition prevailing or otherwise or an accident or any untoward unexpected eventuality.
