Pulmonology

Pulmonology is the diagnosis and treatment of the respiratory system. A Pulmonologist is also referred commonly, as lung doctors, lung specialists or chest doctors. In addition to your lungs, the respiratory system includes your nose, throat, trachea, airways, muscles, and blood vessels.

Pulmonologists diagnose and treat conditions like asthma, chronic obstructive lung disease (COPD), emphysema, lung cancer, interstitial and occupational lung diseases, complex lung, and pleural infections including tuberculosis, pulmonary hypertension, and cystic fibrosis.
